TheatreOne presents Our Ghosts by Sally Stubbs, the second of three Emerging Voices dramatic readings, held at 7:30pm, at Harbour City Theatre on Tues. Feb. 20. This original play features the talents of five BC actors - Barbara Pollard, Tamara McCarthy, Sebastien Archibald, Adrian Hough, and Michael Armstrong. The play is directed by Artistic Associate Nicolle Nattrass, with admission by $10 donation.
Our Ghosts is inspired by the true story of the disappearance of a Canadian forces jet and its two pilots, one of whom was the playwright’s father. Our Ghosts explores the interplay and ramifications of the official and personal responses to the mysterious vanishing of the pilots. At its heart, this play is about one woman’s lifelong quest to find her husband, about the ripple effects on the family he left behind, and about learning how to live with our ghosts.
Nicolle comments that, “this play courageously explore subjects of loss, memory and betrayal with integrity, depth and beautiful honesty…come out to meet this incredible playwright, hear the story and share feedback in the talk-back.
